Wow it certainly has been a while since I last posted.

I have been very busy organizing our homeschool camp which is due to take place in November. Our family and 21 other homeschooling families will be going away to an outdoor pursuits camp on the edge of a beautiful lake.

The kids will be taking part in a variety of activity groups with eh 48 other school aged homeschoolers who will be attending.

The activities taking place will include....

Kayaking
Sailing
High Rope activities
Archery
Orienteering
Team Building Games

Not to meantion all the incidentals that crop up when 48 kids are at camp together.

We are all very excited.

As to what else has been keeping me busy ..... As usual mostly the kids sports.

Dd8 has been playing netball with me coaching the team.

Ds12 has just finished up his rugby season and is also still playing and loving basketball with his intermediate homeschool basketball team.

Ds10 (back) with a coupld of his team mates after their big game.

And ds10's team won the rugby rep tournament last week which was the first time in 15 years that a club team had won any finals.

Ds10's team shake hands with the opposition after the game.

He got to go to the clubs senoir prize giving whre he and his team mates we awarded a shield and some individual badges for their achievement. Ds10 ahring the moment with his very proud father

That brought his rugby season to an end and in truth I am pleased to have a break from it.

BabyR looking mischevious as usual

Other than that we have all been enjoying watching 'His Royal Cuteness' namely BabyR who is always a source of entertainment and amusement for the rest of the family. I have to admit he is a bit of a monkey and tends to put on quite a performance when it comes to wanting his own way but we are trying very hard to be consistent and firm yet fair with him so that he learns to communicate his needs in a more appropriate manner. However for the most part he is a good wee man and we tend to avoid most tantrums and disturbances by prevention rather than having to discipline after the fact. I'm also going with the theory of 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" in other words if it isn't all that important to me then I figure I may as well just go with the flow.

Now both my older boys are stayng with their grandmother for a few days so it is just me and the younger two at home which is very quiet compared with what our house is like when the older boys are home causing havoc.

Well that's it for not

Catch you soon, maybe

Nina
