A nice day at home

Today was a nice family day. I caught up on a bit of washing and finished off the birthday shopping for MstrS12's birthday tomorrow. He will officially be 12 then but I have been referring to him as being 12 for about a month now. LOL






Dd8 asked for a way to earn some money today as she wants to buy herself some more of the Go Go Crazy Bones that she is collecting.

After thinking for a while I suggested she might like to go outside and weed the garden. She negotiated her going rate for a while before we reached an agreement. She then headed outside to get started. My dh went with her to point out what were weeds and what were actually plants and he also got her a large bucket to put all the weeds in temporarily.

She did a pretty good job really although she did leave a few scraggly weeds here and there.

I went outside for a while to keep her company and take some photos for and to chat while she was working. Apparently she really likes gardening so I really must make an effort to set up a little plot for her to plant and take care of.

CousinP's cat came visiting from up the drive way to inspect MissM8's handy work and roll in the grass near by for a while.

BabyR had 2 really good naps today and during his afternoon one I even managed to have a nice loooooong nap which is a very rare occurance round here these days. Of course this meant that by the time I woke up at around 4:45pm everyone was already starving as I was behind schedule in preparing dinner. BabyR had trouble waking up too and was quite distraught upon waking probably due to his teeth so I offered him a quick nurse but then of course when I offered him dinner at around 5:30 he wasn't hungry. Funny though how he suddenly got hungry when it came time for dessert later on in the evening. LOL






While I was cooking Mstr10 and MissM8 kept BabyR entertained taking photos of him. BabyR is always happy to pose for the camera as is Mstr10 and MissM8 loves to use the camera so all 3 were very happy for a while. LOL







We finally got around to eating our curry at about 6:30pm instead of our usual 5:30 - 6pm weekend dinner. I had been craving curry since walking past the local Indian restaurant the other day so tonight I made a coconut cream, beef curry of my own although its never quite the same when one has to cook it themselves. It was still pretty yummy though and dh was very helpful stirring the cooking curry every now and then.





Tomorrow is MstrS12's birthday and he is over the top excited. His nature is one that he just can't cope with excitement and gets over the top in his mood swings for about a month before the big day as a result of this tendancy of his we are all more than ready for his birthday to finally arrive.




Today was a lovely relaxing day but no doubt tomorrow will be a busy one although ds12 doesn't want to go anywhere as all he wants to do is stay home together as a family and play with his presents. He really is still just a little boy at heart no matter how big he thinks he is.
